Glenn Hamer, President & CEO
Texas Association of Business

Glenn Hamer, a dynamic leader in the business community, has an exceptional record of success in public policy. During the 87th, 88th and 89th Texas Legislative Sessions, Glenn led the Texas Association of Business (TAB) to secure significant policy victories, including new economic incentives, community college finance reform, the creation of business courts, regulatory consistency, infrastructure investments, and historic property tax relief.

In 2024, the Austin Business Journal named Glenn one of its Power Players, recognizing his impactful leadership. Texas Governor Greg Abbott selected Glenn to co-chair the Governor’s Small Business Freedom Council.

Under Glenn’s guidance, TAB launched an international relations division to strengthen the Texas-Mexico partnership and established the Texas Freedom Litigation Center to advance its advocacy efforts. Passionate about connecting with local communities, Glenn has made it his mission to visit more chambers of commerce than anyone else. He aspires to become the first chamber executive to visit Mars.

Before joining TAB, Glenn served 14 years as CEO of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry, where he drove major victories in tax policy, education, legal reform, and healthcare. A key advocate for the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), Glenn is a respected expert on international issues. He has joined trade missions to Mexico, Canada, China, Taiwan, Israel, and the United Kingdom alongside governors, mayors, Secretaries of State, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Committed to addressing the global talent race, Glenn champions legal pathways for international workers to bolster the economy.

Glenn proudly serves on the board of Texas BASIS and the American Society of Mexico. He is a member of the U.S. District Export Council for Central Texas, a past Chair of the U.S. Chamber’s Committee of 100 (CCC100), and served on its Board of Directors.

Glenn’s prior roles include Chief of Staff to Arizona Congressman Matt Salmon, Executive Director of the Arizona Republican Party, Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Jon Kyl, and Executive Director of the Solar Energy Industries Association.

A graduate of Cornell University and Arizona State University’s College of Law, Glenn is married to Tali, a quadrilingual prolific author. They have three daughters, all bilingual in English and Hebrew, who share their parents’ entrepreneurial spirit.
